A complete waste of public funds

I LIVE near Brameld Road, Swinton, and the old houses in this general area have been demolished and the land earmarked for development in the form of new builds with a housing association and RMBC partnership.

I recently passed this road and to my amazement I noticed that the whole road had been totally reconstructed before the building of the new housing has ever been started.

This seems ludicrous and illogical as I would have thought this resurfacing would have been the last job to be done when considering the heavy plant running on it and the water, gas, electricity, sewerage, drainage and building works have been carried out.

So can the person at the council who is responsible for this complete waste of public funds, bearing in mind there are other nearby bus routes in a shocking state with potholes please publish a response in the Advertiser so that the good people of Swinton can understand why.
