Youngsters celebrate Lottery grants
Thrybergh Academy will use its £10,000 share for a Saturday morning “transition” club helping pupils integrate with peers and build confidence. The aim is to reduce class disruption, aggression and displays of bad behaviour.
Blackburn Primary School has been given £7,708 for a supported family learning project aimed at supporting parents with poor mental health, low self esteem or problems with English speaking skills.

Hide AdBramley Kick into Action will involve a series of physical activity sessions at Bramley Sunnyside Junior School, thanks to a £9,900 grant.
Wath Comprehensive was given £9,978 for a Get Inspired project with a wide range of after-school health and fitness activities.
Aughton Early Years Centre will use its £9,839 to provide day trips, arts and crafts and other family activities. It will also help parents build employment skills.
And Gallery Town has been given £9,350 to fund work enabling people who are older, socially isolated or have mental health issues to contribute to the regeneration of Rotherham town centre.
In total, 132 projects across Yorkshire and Humber were given a total of £1.5 million, the Big Lottery Fund announced this week (15).
