Woman attacked in woods

A 35-year-old woman was walking her dog when she was assaulted by a man in Edlington Woods at around 6.30pm on Monday.

She was approached by the man who attempted to attract her dog’s attention.

The woman asked him not to do this and the man hit her in the face before running away.

He is described as white, around 25-years-old and wearing a black hooded jumper, blue jeans and dark shoes.
