Wet and windy Christmas Day forecast
HOPES of a white Christmas look to be dashed after forecasters predicted wind and rain.
The Met Office has forecast wet and windy weather throughout the week with the theme continuing on Friday.
Its chief forecaster said: "Feeling colder in the wind with sunshine and showers on Wednesday.
"Rain and gales will clear Thursday morning leading to brighter skies. There will be further rain and wind later on Christmas Day."
