WEATHER: new reader snow pictures

READERS have been seending in some amazing pictures of the snowy weather in and around Rotherham.

 Christopher Lawton, of Dukeries Drive, North Anston, took the first two outside his home, they show the street and a completely covered Vauxhall Astra and Vauxhall Corsa on the driveway.

George Martin took the third picture of the view over Thrybergh.

Melissa Hopwood sent in picture four. She wrote: "Snow, snow and more snow! This is a picture of my four year old daughter Grace Wilkinson in our garden at Kimberworth Park, Rotherham.!"

Signs of snow . . . Julie Taylor submitted picture give, her snap of a snow-laden road sign in Rotherham.

In picture six, Candice and Nathan Wilson enjoy an nice warming brew to beat the chill.

Wendy Kirk spotted a snowy cow during a stroll in Thrybergh on Sunday (picture 7).

Traffic at a standstill at North Anston was captured by Fiona Middleton, who wrote: The A57 came to a grinding halt with the collapse of a bridge at Lindrick and the heavy snow. Driver have been stranded since Tuesday evening."

John Parkin came across a similar scene. He wrote: "Lorries and cars stuck on the A57 since Tuesday. Peoplewere getting out of their cars and lorries and abandoning them."
