WATH: weekend of celebrations at church

Wath All Saints’ Church Heritage Group met to discuss arrangements for the celebration weekend to be held at the church this weekend.

The old registers will be on display for people to look at t to research their family histories.

There will be displays by different groups and Mary Carr has put together a display of memorabilia from the Girls’ Friendly Society.

At 7pm on Saturday Alex Fleming will be give an illustrated talk on the Festival of Britain andthe 1953 Coronation celebrations in Wath.

Refreshments will be served in the St James’ Rooms over the weekend by members of the Mothers’ Union.
