Wath lights switch on
THERE will be fun for all the family at Wath’s big Christmas lights switch on next week.
The event on Thursday has been organised by Wath Christmas Festival Group with backing from Wath Community Partnership, Montgomery Hall and Rotherham Borough Council.
From 4pm, fairground rides, face painting and a visit from Santa’s sleigh should keep the children happy, while mulled wine and mince pies will be available for adults, as well as stalls selling gifts and a raffle to win a Christmas hamper.
The sleigh is being organised by Mexborough and District Lions, while Dearne Valley College students will serve refreshments.
The switch-on itself takes place at 5pm
