Water supply problems fixed

Yorkshire Water said homes had been left without water due to an issue at its Aughton pumping plant.

A spokesman said at 1pm yesterday that all supplies should be back to normal within two to three hours and the firm Tweeted at 6pm that the water “should now be back on”, adding: “Sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
