Water damage leaves Rotherham homes without phones

PHONE giant BT has apologised after more than 60 customers were left without working phone lines for almost two weeks.

BT said “extensive water damage” had meant 70 metres of cable had to be replaced in Broom, with 62 customers reporting faults.

The problem was resolved on Friday and all lines were back in action.
