Youths spotted before shed torched

FIREFIGHTERS put out a blazing shed after a suspected arson attack.

A crew from Rotherham Fire Station attended the fire, which broke out in the garden of a derelict property on Brecks Lane East, East Herringthorpe, shortly after 6.30pm on Tuesday

A fire brigade spokesman said: “The roof of the shed was smouldering when firefighters arrived at the scene.

“Neighbours reported seeing youths in the vicinity shortly before fire broke out and the incident was subsequently logged as an arson.”

Firefighters doused the shed with water but were able to leave the scene after around 30 minutes.
