Youth arrested after man "robbed" in Herringthorpe
A MAN needed hospital treatment for stab wounds after allegedly being robbed in Herringthorpe.
Police were called at just before 1.30pm on Sunday following reports of a robbery at Wordsworth Drive, Herringthorpe.
A spokeswoman said: “It is reported that an 18-year-old man was standing in the street with his girlfriend when they were approached by a large group.

Hide Ad“The group is then reported to have attacked the victim, stealing items of jewellery.
“The victim sustained a stab wound in the incident and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.”
A 16-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of robbery has been released on bail.
The spokeswoman said enquiries were continuing.
