Youngster seriously hurt in minibus accident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an accident that left a three-year-old girl in hospital with serious injuries.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision that has left a three-year-old girl in hospital with serious injuries.

A police spokesman said that the youngster suffered serious fractures to her left leg when she was struck by the rear rear wheels of a mini bus after she ran out of a driveway on Upper Wortley Road, Thorpe Hesley, at around 3.10pm on Tuesday.

She was detained in Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The driver of the silver Ford Transit mini bus, a 28-year-old Rotherham man, was not injured in the incident.
