Words about River Don wanted for new booklet

Short stories, poems, photographs and anecdotes are wanted for the Don Catchment Rivers Trust’s Voices of the Don publication planned to come out in October.

Entries can be submitted to [email protected] and all entries will receive a free copy.

A spokeswoman for the trust said: “How this came about is when we have been out and about at events etc, people tell us really interesting snippets of information and stories, and we wanted to do more with them other than just being in our head.

“So we’ve been gathering up information, and wanted to give people the opportunity to contribute.

“It’s turning out to be a mixture of stories, recollections, anecdotes and poems.”
