Woman's condition "serious" after road smash

A WOMAN is in hospital with “serious” injuries after her car collided with another vehicle in Thurcroft.

The 44-year-old was driving a a silver Ford Focus when it collided with a red Mazda Demeo outside the Top Club, Woodhouse Green, at 7.40pm last Saturday.

She was taken to hospital with suspected minor injuries, but has since deteriorated, a police spokeswoman said.

A 17-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Focus was also hospitalised with minor injuries.

The Mazda driver, a 30-year-old man, also suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and may have dashboard camera footage of it.

Officers would also like to hear from anyone who saw a third car — possibly a red Seat Leon — in the area at the time of the smash.
