Woman's cheekbone cracked in one of "at least four" muggings in Swinton

A WOMAN had her cheekbone cracked in one of a number of violent robberies over the weekend.

The 43-year-old was walking along Cliffefield Road, Swinton, at around 12.10am on Sunday, when she was attacked from behind and robbed of cash and cigarettes by a gang.

She was taken to hospital following the attack, which the Advertiser understands is one of up to four similar incidents in Swinton being investigated by detectives.

Others are understood to have happened around the Cliffefield Road, Manor Road and Lime Grove area.
