Woman rescued from Parkgate blaze

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a woman from a building in Parkgate in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

Four crews from Rotherham, Dearne and Maltby stations were called to the accidental fire on Williams Street at 1.20am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The woman who was rescued by firefighters did not need to go to hospital, added the spokesperson.

Crews left the scene at 2.10am.
