Woman 'pulled down road in Eastwood by group of men'

POLICE responded to reports of a woman being pulled down a road by a group of men at Eastwood in the early hours.

Officers were contacted in the early hours of today (Tuesday) and are now trying to trace those involved in the incident.

There was a noticeable police presence on Fitzwilliam Road by this morning’s rush hour as officers carried out door-to-door enquiries.

A police spokeswoman said: “We received a call at 2.42am for reports of a woman being pulled down Fitzwilliam Road in Rotherham by a group of men.

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the woman and the men involved in the incident.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 109 of May 26.”
