Woman attacked in Brampton at 4am, car stolen

A WOMAN was pushed to the ground and robbed of her car in the early hours of today (Friday).

She had used a cash machine on Knollbeck Lane, Brampton Bierlow, at 4.20am when she was attacked.

A police spokesman said: “The victim was pushed to the ground before the man grabbed her keys and drove away in her blue Peugeot 206.”

The suspect is described as white and 6ft tall. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark jeans and spoke with a Yorkshire accent.

Police want to hear from anyone with information that might help officers in their investigation.

The spokesman added: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? Do you know who might be responsible?”
