Witnesses sought after M18 crash

A MAN remains in hospital after his car crashed into the central reservation.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the single vehicle collision on the M18 yesterday (Thursday) at around 12.40pm to come forward.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said it a black BMW 3 series was involved in a collision on the northbound carriageway between junctions 1 and 2.

The driver of the BMW, a 39-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in hospital.

The road was closed for around three hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
