OFFICERS are appealing for a driver who they believe witnessed a fatal collision near Maltby last Wednesday which killed a 34-year-old mother to come forward.
Lindsey Burton (34) was driving a Mercedes C Class along the A631, Tickhill Road towards Maltby at 3.40pm when it was in a collision with a Scania LGV. The LGV then left the carriageway after colliding with a silver Citreon Picasso.
Mrs Burton (pictured below), of Tickhill, was airlifted to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries the following day.
In a statement, her family described her as a "beautiful and loving wife and mother".
A police spokeswoman said officers believe a green Vaxuhall Corsa, possible a 2015 model onwards, modified with a spoiler was close to the scene when the collision happened.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver of the green Corsa (pictured above) and any passenegers.
Officers are also urging anyone who saw what happened, or may have dashcam footage, to contact them. If you can help, call 101 quoting incident number 516 of June 12.
