Witness appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured in Maltby collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Maltby left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Officers received reports a black Vauxhall Insignia and a red and black Lexmoto Gladiator motorcycle were involved in a collision at the crossroads of the A631 High Street, Grange Lane, Tickhill Road and Muglet Lane at 11.50am on Sunday.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 44-year-old man, said to be from Maltby, was taken to hospital with serious injuries," said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.

The female driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured, added the spokeswoman.

Witnesses are urged to call 101 or email [email protected] quoting incident number 420 of December 8.
