Winter arrives as flurries of snow reported
By Dave Doyle | 30/11/2017
WINTER has finally arrived in Rotherham, with the first flurries of snow reported in several areas.
Twitter users spotted snow in Wickersley and Rawmarsh just after 1pm on Thursday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for north-east England, predicting possible snow and ice until 10am on Friday.
Journeys may be affected by “a centimetre or two of snow at low levels”, while a local low temperature of 2 deg C may cause ice on roads and pavements.
