Windfall for Speak-Up Self Advocacy will pay for 250 hours of counselling

A CHARITY which supports people with learning difficulties and autism has been given a big cash boost.

Speakup Self Advocacy, based on Fitzwilliam Road in Rotherham, has been awarded £3,150 by building society and estate agency The Nottingham.

The money will pay for 250 hours of one-to-one budgeting sessions to prevent Speakup clients falling into financial crisis.

Speakup Self Advocacy is run by and for people with learning disabilities and/or autism and has supported more than 260,000 people and numerous organisations across the UK during its 30 years.
