Wheelie bin torched in Edlington and Goldthorpe

A NUMBER of wheelie bins have been torched in Edlington and Goldthorpe overnight. 

A crew from Edlington station was called out to St John's Road, Edlington, at 9.05pm on New Year's Day. 

The bin was in a skate park and the crew left the scene at 9.30pm, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

A further three wheelie bins were set alight in Victoria Street, Goldthorpe, at 1.15am this morning (Thursday).

A crew from Dearne station was called out to the scene and left at 1.45am.  

Both fires were deliberate, added the spokeswoman.
