Wheelie bin fire in Swallownest spreads to outside of house

ARSONISTS torched a wheelie bin which spread to a Swallownest property in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).

Fire crews from Aston, Bierley and Parkway stations were called to Arcubus Avenue at 12.20am.

The wheelie bin fire spread to the outside of the house but no-one was injured, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. 

"The cause of the fire was deliberate and crews left the the scene at 2.40pm," she added.
