Wheelie bin and woods set on fire by arsonists

FIREFIGHTERS dealt with two arson strikes overnight around the borough.

Rubbish in a wooded area was set alight in High Street, Wombwell, at 8.50pm last night. A crew from Cudworth station was at the scene for 30 minutes.

A wheelie bin was torched in Ferham Road, Holmes, at 12.40am today (Wednesday) which was brought under control by Rotherham firefighters in 15 minutes.
