Wheelie bin and rubbish torched in Thurnscoe and Goldthorpe

A WHEELIE bin and  rubbish were deliberately set on fire in Thurnscoe and Goldthorpe last night.

A crew from Cudworth station were called to Billingley Drive, Thurnscoe, at 7.20pm and were on scene for 40 minutes.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a rubbish fire on Cooperative Street in Goldthorpe, at 8.55pm and left the scene by 9.20pm.

The causes of both fires was deliberate, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
