Wheelie bin and car fires in Swinton and Treeton
A WHEELIE bin caught fire in Swinton and a car deliberately torched in Treeton in two overnight incidents.
Firefighters from Dearne station were called to the accidental wheelie bin fire on Slade Road, Swinton, at 7.30pm last night. The crew left the scene after 30 minutes,
At 9.35pm, on Bole Hill, Treeton, a VW Polo car was set alight.
A crew from Aston station attended and left the scene at 10.30pm.
The cause of the car fire is believed to be deliberate, said a spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
