Wellgate post office hit by armed robbers

TWO men armed with crowbars robbed £736 from the till at Wellgate’s post office.

They fled in a grey Mondeo towards Herringthorpe at about 3.25pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A police spokeswoman said: “An investigation has been launched to find those responsible.

“Anyone with information which might help our officers in their enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident 483 of February 9.”
