AN elderly man from Wath was seriously hurt in a car crash in Sheffield on Wednesday.

AN elderly Wath man was seriously hurt in a car crash in Sheffield on Wednesday.

The 68-year-old sustained internal bleeding, a collapsed lung and a broken pelvis in the collision on Stevenson Road, Sheffield.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a silver Ford Ka driven by the pensioner collided with a Ford Fiesta around 8.40am. 

Police said the Ka pulled into the nearside entrance of the steel company Outa Kumpu to make a U-turn.

As the Ka pulled out across Stevenson Road it hit the Fiesta travelling south.

A 22-year-old man from Barnsley who was driving the  Fiesta suffered slight neck and back injuries.
