Warrant for Mexborough man revoked

A WARRANT issued for a man who failed to attend court yesterday (Tuesday) has been revoked after police confirmed he was unable to attend due to "health issues".

Donald Crabtree (56), of Spencer Street, Mexborough, was due to appear at at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court but after he failed to show a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Crabtree is charged with sexually assaulting a girl aged under 13 in Rotherham last month.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the warrant for Crabtree’s arrest was revoked today.

She said: “Crabtree was unable to attend court due to undergoing treatment for ongoing health issues.

“A new court date will be set.”
