Warning over mobile phone phishing scam texts
A CYBER crime centre has warned the public to beware fake texts purporting to be from a mobile phone company.
The messages claim the user has an unpaid bill from EE — and the link leads to a phishing website designed to steal log-in details and other personal information.
Action Fraud said: “Don’t be tricked into giving a fraudster access to your personal or financial details.
“Never automatically click on a link or attachment in an unexpected email or text.”
