Warne gives squad chance to impress in tonight's friendlies
Gainsborough Trinity's The Northolme

ROTHERHAM United have announced their line-ups for tonight's friendlies at Alfreton and Gainsborough Trinity.

Manager Paul Warne will use the matches to help him decide who will be involved in the two upcoming home friendlies, the first of which is against Sheffield United on Friday (7.45pm).

"All 22 understand how we are going to play so I could send any two 11s to either one, it would make no difference," said the Millers chief.

"We can start putting the cream together for the home games against Sheffield United and Barnsley but at the moment it is all about getting match ready and trying to impress the staff with performances and, to be fair, the players are going to make my job difficult. That's good, I'm not moaning about, I have a lot of options."

Warne and Matt Hamshaw will be at Gainsborough game, while assistant Richie Barker and Mike Pollitt will head to Alfreton. Both matches start at 7.30pm.

We will have reporters at both the Impact Arena and The Northolme, and regular updates will be posted on Twitter @rothtisersport.

Starting XI at Alfreton: Bilboe; Fisher, Ajayi, Do Ball, Mattock; Taylor, Potter, Williams, Bray; Da Ball; Clarke-Harris

Starting XI at Gainsborough: O’Donnell; Emmanuel, Ihiekwe, Wood, Purrington; Forde, Vaulks, Newell, Yates; Proctor, Moore.
