Walkers wanted to join charity trek for Alzheimer's Society

Lester Weatherley, who completed a fundraising trek for Epilepsy UK three years ago, is leading a group on a five-mile walk around Swinton on Saturday.

This time, all the cash raised will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Lester, of Cliff Bank, Swinton, said: “The people doing it have mainly known someone or lost a parent or loved one from this disease.”

Anyone wanting to join in the walk should meet as Swinton station just before 11am on Saturday.
