VIDEO: We taste test spaghetti cakes!

Watch the reaction as Wath students taste test cupcakes that look like spaghetti and meatballs.

Fancy a bun that looks like a meatball, but tastes of chocolate?

That's the unusual delicacy being offered by Jayne Gordon (43), who has started a business specialising in novelty cakes.

Jayne, who runs Bedazzled Cup Cakes from her home in Bramley with step-daughter Laura Powell (22), has come up with some spaghetti and meatball  cakes . . . just in time for April Fool's Day next Thursday.

It's just a bit of fun really,” Jayne said. “I thought it would go down well. We make all the toppings ourselves and try and do something a little different.

The meatball cakes, priced at £1.50, may look like a savoury Italian dish but they are acutally topped with icing, jam and a Fererro Rocher chocolate.

“It's like a madhouse sometimes”, she said. “We just bake cakes all the time. I’m hoping to get my own shop soon and just want people to be talking about what we do.

“If the April Fool’s cakes make people remember us then that's even better.”

We took some of Jane's cakes onto the streets of Wath to see how they went down. Watch the video to see the results.
