VIDEO: Police investigating "unexplained" death of woman in Dalton

Officers were called to Fitzwilliam Road at around 12.10pm following a report from the ambulance service that “a 19-year-old woman was unresponsive to medical assistance”. 

A police spokeswoman added: “The woman, who was a passenger in a car travelling towards Rotherham, was removed from the vehicle for treatment but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 

“Her family have been informed and are being supported by officers. 

“At this time, the woman’s death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
