TV comedians Roy Chubby Brown, Don McClean, Tommy Cannon, Billy Pearce and Bernie Clifton were among mourners, along with Millers captain Richard Wood, manager Paul Warne and ‘Allo ‘Allo actor Vicki Michelle.

Comedian Tommy Cannon said: "He was a very funny man, it's a sad time.

"He's going to be sadly missed.

"They are both fun lads and Barry was the clown.

"Hopefully he'll meet a lot of the lads up there that have gone the same way and have a lot of laughter with them."

A floral tribute from Paul to his sibling and stage partner of more than 50 years read: “Miss you Baz, love Paul and Sue xx.”

The funeral party will head to a crematorium after the service inside the ground.
