VIDEO: Hundreds gather for Rother Valley celebration

HUNDREDS of people gathered at Rother Valley Country Park for a celebration event to mark the Persian New Year and the beginning of spring.

The Kurdish community gathered at the beauty hotspot on Sunday for live music and dancing to celebrate Newroz.

The annual festivities have been taking place at the park since 2008.

Organisers said this year’s event had been particularly well-attended due to the unusually warm weather.
