Video: Hellaby bus blaze was accidental

A BUS fire at Hellaby yesterday (Wednesday) has been recorded as accidental, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said.

Bawtry Road was closed in the early afternoon as a fire crew from Maltby station attended.

They were at the scene from about 12.25pm to 1.45pm and there were no reports of injuries.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “The incident involved a double decker bus, with the fire in the engine compartment. 

“The fire has been logged as accidental.”
