FIREFIGHTERS have been tackling a blaze on grassland near Denaby Main since Sunday (22).
Crews were first called to land near Kilner Bridge at 4.15pm on Sunday and several crews from Rotherham and Doncaster have been tackling the fire in the days since, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.
Firefighters will be returning regularly to the site to keep it under control.
Crews have been using water from a tanker supplied by Doncaster Council due to the distance from any nearby water sources.
