A PAIR of hospice heroes had a laugh amid the lockdown by shaving each other's hair off.
The courageous couple decided to "brave the shave" to raise funds for the hospice, and collected an amazing £1,800 in sponsorship.
Ravenfield couple Jill Hudson and Mary Beaumont-Hudson took it in turns with the clippers as they embraced their fundraising challenge.
Mary said: “During this crisis charities like the hospice are going to be struggling and we both work for the hospice and have been supported by it so we are raising some much-needed money.”
She said the pair had been inspired by the Big Night In fundraising drive at the end of last month.
"There was a lady on there with long hair having it shaved off and we thought: 'She's onto something there."
After their close crops, Mary said: "We're feeling brilliant", while Jill added: "It feels good."
Rotherham Hospice's Liz Barran praised the pair for their "flipping brilliant" fundraising total.
