VIDEO: Community sports trust suffers two break-ins in one night

A COMMUNITY trust which provides activities and support to hundreds of people a week suffered two break-ins in one night.

Two people broke into the Parkgate Astro site of Rotherham United Community Sports Trust at 3.30am yesterday and tried to steal a roll of astroturf.

The offenders, believed to be a man and a woman, were captured on CCTV trying to carry the astroturf away.

SAD NEWS | Last night we suffered not one but TWO break ins. All our vehicles were vandalised and windows smashed and then we find out someone had tried to pinch our Astro turf! On the same night, the trust’s van and minibus, based at the trusts’ New York Stadium headquarters, were both vandalised.

The windows on both vehicles were smashed and have since been repaired.

Anyone with any information about either incident should call police on 101, quoting incident number 14/119100/21 for the Parkgate incident and 14/119094/21 for the New York Stadium incident.
