A MASKED robber was caught on CCTV running away after he threatened staff with a knife at a bookmakers in Rotherham town centre moments earlier.

Two men entered the Bet Extra bookers on Frederick Street at 7.45pm on October 9, last year, before one brandished a knife at staff, a police spokeswoman said.

"The pair fled the scene with a small amount of money, running through Rotherham bus station," she added.

"Despite extensive enquiries including forensic examinations, the suspects have not yet been identified.

"The men were both wearing masks, due to the ongoing pandemic, with one of them described as being around 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, wearing a distinctive black, grey and white deer-stalker hat, with the grey front bit folded up. The second suspect is described as wearing a blue coat and a grey hat."
