THIEVES who stole from a vehicle in Clifton armed themselves with weapons and threatened their victim, police said.

Three Rotherham men — aged 31, 39 and 48 — have been arrested after reportedly stealing from a vehicle at around midnight last night, a police spokeswoman said.

The victim had followed and challenged the men before they came out of an address with numerous weapons and made threats, she added.

Police found the men inside the address along with an axe, a knuckle duster and a cane (pictured).

The men remained in police custody, added the spokeswoman.
