Vehicle set alight in farmer's field

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended Brecks Lane at 11.50pm on Friday. The VW was dealt with by 12.20am.

Colleagues from Dearne station went to Lawrence Drive in Swinton, where three cars were on fire shortly after 4am on Saturday.

They spent over an hour dealing with the incident, which involved a Vauxhall Meriva, Audi estate and a Peugeot 207. This was dealt with by 5.10am and is thought to have been started deliberately.

And a bonfire — including a sofa — at North Street in Rawmarsh spread to a shed just before 5pm on Saturday.
