A VAN driver died and two other men were left injured following a collision in Rawmarsh.

The 26-year-old driver of a Ford Transit was pronounced dead at the scene on Warren Vale after the incident at 11.40pm on Saturday, police said.

A spokeswoman said the van had been in collision with a grey VW Polo near the junction with Kilnhurst Road.

"The driver of the van was sadly pronounced dead at the scene," added a police spokeswoman. "His family is being supported by our officers at this time."

The 22-year-old man driving the Polo was taken to hospital with serious chest injuries while a 30-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.
