Van and bin torched by arsonists

FIREFIGHTERS in Rotherham tackled a skip fire and a bin blaze overnight.

A skip was deliberately set on fire at 7.45pm on Mount Street, Thornhill, the fire service said.

A crew from Rotherham station attended the incident, leaving the scene at 8.20pm.

Firefighters from Elm Lane station were dispatched at 2.40am today to put out a van which had been set alight on Grange Lane, Thorpe Hesley.

Meanwhile, a crew from Edlington station attended a deliberate car fire at 2.05am on Back Lane, Old Edlington, spending nearly an hour at the scene.
