UPDATE: Swallownest bungalow fire was arson

THE cause of a Swallownest bungalow fire has been found to be deliberate.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed the blaze on Arcubus Avenue on Sunday at 5.50pm was an arson attack.

The fire was started at the side door of the property and it is believed no-one was in the house at the time, she added.

Three crews were at the scene for over an hour.
