A CORDON is in place in Kimberworth after reports of shots being fired.
The junction of High Street and Meadowhall Road has been sealed off with police tape since last night.
Residents said the police helicopter had been spotted circling during the early hours and there is understood to have been a large police presence.
A police spokeswoman said officers had been called to the scene at 10.56pm yesterday.
She added: “It is reported that an argument was witnessed between two men in the Green Dragon Pub car park. A silver car was then seen leaving the car park, before gunshots were heard.
"Police attended the scene and a cordon has been put in place whilst they investigate.
“No injuries have been reported to us at this time.
“Enquiries are underway to locate those involved.
“High Street and Meadowhall Road are currently closed whilst officers carry out their enquiries."
