Up to 65 jobs created by Burger King and Starbucks plans

PLANS for a Burger King and Starbucks on a business park will create up to 65 new jobs.

The two drive-thrus are proposed at the Elmwood Farm pub roundabout off the A57 Chesterfield Road, Swallownest.

Applicants Burney Estates said the development would bring about 45 jobs in Burger King and a further 20 for Starbucks. The plans include 36 parking spaces.

A sequential test submitted by the applicants said the coffee and burger outlets would serve the Beighton Business Park and passing trade. Impact on Rotherham town centre would therefore be negligible, it added.
